Concours d’Elegance

Sunday, August 5, 2018

10 am to 4 pm

Veterans Park, Milwaukee

The application is found at the bottom of this page. Please scroll.

Inaugurated in August 2005, the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance has developed a reputation for showcasing the most exceptional vehicles and has been a top destination for both participants and spectators. Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance takes place on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan at Veteran’s Park, a spectacular venue situated between the Milwaukee Yacht Club and the stunningly modern Milwaukee Art Museum. A Saturday Morning Motor Tour to Wingspread and Saturday evening’s Style & Speed Social adds a special flare to the weekend.

Each year 200 unique motorcars are invited to gather along the lake to celebrate the best in automotive history. The park along the water offers a wide open area rather than crowded into a small space, giving a very relaxed experience. Attendees can expect to see award-winning vehicles which owners have brought from countries as far as Italy, Switzerland and Canada, as well as four corners of the United States. Last year a few of our special features included:

  • Premium Luxury
  • Cars of Donald Healey
  • Mustang
  • All things Two-Wheeled

New in 2018: We will be holding the Show & Glow Paddock — club day exhibitors previously held on Saturday — on Sunday with the grand Concours exhibition, thus creating for the public a spectacular display of hundreds of vehicles. The Show & Glow Paddock area on the show field will enhance the concours vehicles that will be judged for class and prestige awards.

Interested in Showing your Vehicle in the Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance?

Thank you. Participation of a vehicle is by invitation only or by approval of the Concours d’Elegance committee. Please review the following criteria to see if your vehicle would be a fit for this concours event.

Generally speaking, participation is for vehicles built prior to 1975. In some cases this may change if for example there is a Special Feature in a particular year. A focus of the Milwaukee Concours is to show exact history and therefore modified cars or replicas are generally not accepted. Other examples of modifications that are not accepted would be a car converted to a different model (ex: an Auburn Cabriolet re-bodied as a Speedster or a Pontiac GTO converted to a Judge), resto-mods, incorrect engines, incorrect wheels or custom cars in general. An exception to this would be a Classic that was re-bodied by known coach builder during the Classic Era or a race car that went through documented changes during its competitive life. Re-bodied cars outside of these in-period scenarios will not be considered.

If you have a vehicle that accurately represents its period in history, we invite you to submit it for consideration.

Applications are now being accepted online for the 14th annual Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance on August 4-5, 2018.

The 2018 theme of “Premier Luxury” is creating much excitement for its focus on high end luxury vehicles dating back to the teen years through our cut off year of 1975. Special feature classes include The Cars of Donald Healey, Mustangs, Cars that Raced at the Milwaukee Mile and All Things Two Wheeled, featuring vintage Motorcycles, Scooters and High Wheel bicycles along with our attention to Ferrari, Muscle Cars, Antiques and more.

Those who wish to be part of the Concours d’Elegance simply need to complete an application and submit along with photos of your vehicle. There is no fee if you are selected to participate on the Concours d’Elegance show field.  Trophies and awards are given in various judged categories or simply relax and exhibit!

Complete with Saturday seminars, driving tour and evening party has become one of the premier motoring weekends in the Midwest. More than 400 vehicles will be on display Sunday in both the show & glow paddock and the Concours d’Elegance show field on Veteran’s Park at the scenic Milwaukee Lakefront.

Since its inception, The Milwaukee Concours d’Elegance has raised more than $300,000 for charity to improve the lives of children and families in the greater Milwaukee area that include Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Great Milwaukee and Meta House.
