Charitable partners for 2014 announced

Feb. 25, 2014 (Milwaukee, Wis.) – The Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Meta House have been designated as the 2014 beneficiaries of The Masterpiece Ltd., the non-profit organization that operates The Milwaukee Masterpiece. The announcement was made today by Leon Flagg, chairman, The Masterpiece Ltd.

“We’re delighted to partner with these three organizations as we continue the charitable outreach of The Milwaukee Masterpiece that started a decade ago,” Flagg said. “Their collective missions align perfectly with the mission of The Masterpiece Ltd. We are pleased that we can support their work and, in turn, strengthen our community.”

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is to inspire and empower all young people, Boys_Girls_logoespecially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2013. Known as the oldest and largest youth-serving agency in Milwaukee, the Clubs offers high quality after-school and summer programming for children ages 5-18, focusing on those who have major life obstacles, most often poverty.

Meta House was one of the first residential treatment facilities in the country designed specifically for women with substance use disorders, and has been providing family-centered, gender-responsive treatment for more than 50 years. Meta House was also one of the first in the nation to allow children to reside wMeta-House-Logo-Webith their moms while they underwent residential treatment. Meta House helps women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction reclaim their lives and rebuild their families. Their model program meets the unique needs of women and their children, ending the generational cycle of addiction. “We are thrilled to be a charity partner for this year’s Milwaukee Masterpiece event. The Milwaukee Masterpiece, Aug. 23 – 24, features two separate collections of vehicles at Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront. On Saturday, Aug. 23, individuals and local and regional car club members will display their two- and four-wheeled vehicles on Club Saturday At The M. On Sunday, Aug. 24, The Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’Elegance unfolds with 250 stunning vehicles selected by the concours committee to compete for awards. Both days are open to the public.

The Milwaukee Masterpiece is organized and operated by The Masterpiece Ltd., a non-profit organization. The Masterpiece Ltd. is organized and operated exclusively to support other public charities including but not limited to those operating in southeastern Wisconsin which provide medical and social service care and relief to underprivileged children and families through various motor vehicle-related fundraising events.
